PTSD

The most well-known trauma disorder, PTSD can develop following exposure to a traumatic event. Emotional numbness, nightmares, flashbacks, intrusive memories, and elevated arousal are some of the symptoms.

Acute stress disorder

 Like PTSD, ASD manifests as symptoms like dissociation, intrusive thoughts, and avoidance behaviors soon after a traumatic event. Should these symptoms continue for more than a few weeks, PTSD may be the new diagnosis.

Adjustment disorders

Adjustment disorders, often triggered by major life stressors like trauma, cause emotional and behavioral symptoms that hinder a person's ability to adapt to changes.
